What is a Microzone
A microzone is approximately a one-half square mile area defined by standard longitude and latitude lines. Microzones identify different "mini-climates" of weather throughout Western’s 527 square mile service area. Western receives weather data for every microzone every day. Placing each customer home or business into unique mini-climates enables Western to calculate outdoor water budgets more accurately. As weather gets hotter your individualized water budget goes up. As weather cools the water budget goes down.
